The Founding of Pharmacare Hawaii
In 1983, Byron Yoshino and Rick Sakurada founded Pharmacare Hawaii after recognizing a growing need for in-home IV antibiotic and total parenteral nutrition therapy. By combining advanced clinical therapies with highly personalized care, Pharmacare Hawaii became the first company in the state to deliver high-tech treatments outside of the hospital setting, offering patients greater convenience while helping reduce the overall cost of care.

Today, Pharmacare Hawaii is one of the state’s largest diversified healthcare providers, committed to the health and well-being of communities across the islands. Our services include infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy and medication management in long term care homes and facilities.
